How to fix Netflix Audio Out of Sync issue on Samsung, Sony, LG Smart TVs?

The audio out-of-sync issue with Netflix is not limited to only one particular brand of Smart TV. Many Smart TVs suffer from this issue and let’s see what things we can try to fix are.

Restart the TV:

As simple as it may sound, sometimes a single restart does the trick with this issue.

  • Turn off the power supply to your smart TV and disconnect the power plug from the socket entirely.
  • Wait for three to minutes till the entire TV discharges completely.
  • After five minutes, connect the power cord to the socket again and then turn on the power to it.
  • Now open up Netflix again and check if the audio sync issue is resolved or not.

Try the next solution if the audio on Netflix is still out of sync.

Play a different title:

Go through the Netflix library and open up any other content. If you witness the same audio delay in everything you play, move ahead to the next solution.

However, if you witness that the audio sync issue is only present in a single title, you need to report it to Netlfix. The content team on Netflix will look into it and fix it for you as soon as possible.

To report a problem, open up Netflix on a web browser and go to your Viewing activity. There, you will find the title where you witnessed audio sync issues. Click on that title and then choose Report a problem. Then follow the on-screen instructions and finally click on Report problem.

Check that title after a couple of days, and the audio sync should be fixed by then.

However, if your audio sync issue is evident in anything you play on your smart TV, move ahead to the next solution.

Reset Audio settings:

Every smart TV will have an option to reset every setting on the TV. For some reason, the audio settings on your TV might be set up wrong. Resetting the TV settings entirely will fix it for you.

Every smart TV manufacturer has a different UI for settings. So you need to go through your TV settings section and find the reset option on your own. If you can’t find it on your own, google it as per your TVs model, and you will find the step-by-step instructions for it.

If resetting the audio settings also does not fix the audio sync issue, try the next solution.

Check your device connections:

Check all the wired connections on your TV. If anything is out of sorts, that could cause the audio sync issue. You need to check the HDMI or optical connectors especially. Also, do not forget the speakers. There is a slight possibility that the problem is related to your Tv’s built-in speakers. So try connecting a separate soundbar to your TV.

If even that does not help with the audio sync issue, try the next solution mentioned below.

Use the A/V Sync feature:

Most Smart TVs nowadays come with an A/V sync feature. You will find the setting for this feature in your TVs settings menu. If you are sure you have this feature on your TV, turn it on and then start playing Netflix on your TV again. It should work fine.

So that is all the different solutions you can try to fix the Netflix audio out of sync issue on Samsung, Sony, LG Smart TVs.
