Logitech has a wide array of peripheral computer products. The famous G Pro X headset that many gamers have loved using for their intense sessions is among them. But not every one of these G Pro X owners has been able to use their headsets to their full extent.
The problem they are facing is connectivity. Logitech has a G Hub application that lets users tweak their compatible Logitech devices according to their liking. But Logitech G Pro X owners complain that the device shows up as not connected on the G Hub application even when connected to their PC. This is an issue for many, especially considering the application’s customization options for the headset. So here in this article, we will look into all the possible solutions that have solved the problem for many users worldwide. Without any further ado, let’s get into it.

For some users, the problem was simple. They had outdated drivers for the headset, which troubled them. And for some users, it was the microphone. If the microphone is disabled in Windows settings, the headset shows up as not connected on the G Hub application. So let’s look at all the things you need to try to fix the not connected issue.
Update your driver:
Windows need up-to-date drivers to stay compatible with every possible device out there. So if you are on outdated drivers, update the audio drivers right away. That might solve your problem with the headset not being recognised.
There are three ways to update a driver. You can do it automatically, manually, or using a third-party application.
To do it automatically, you can use Windows device manager.
Press and hold Windows Key + X and choose “Device Manager” from the list of options.
Expand Audio inputs and outputs in the device manager window and right-click on your audio device’s name.
Choose “Update Driver.”
Choose “Search automatically for updated driver software.”
Follow the on-screen instructions and install the driver update that shows up.
You need to visit the Logitech support website for the manual process and look for the driver setup file. It will be like any other software installation file. Once you find the setup file, install it on your computer as with any other application.
Besides these two methods, you also have a third option. You can install a third-party driver utility tool on your computer, and it will automatically scan your computer for any outdated or missing drivers. It will also install the latest drivers on your computer with a simple click. However, these utility software tools usually have a price tag. But the price is well worth it as you don’t need to worry about drivers on your computer even again.
If updating the audio drivers on your computer does not solve your problem, try the next solution.
Check Sound Settings:
Windows needs access to the microphone to enable or disable it for the PC. So ensure you have the microphone access allowed for Windows.
Click on the search bar and look for Microphone privacy settings. Once it shows up in search results, click on it.
Click on the change button and then turn on the toggle for Microphone access for this device.
Turn on the toggle for the option Allow apps to access your microphone.
Scroll down and find the option for allowing microphone access on the desktop. Turn on the toggle for that as well.
Now you need to enable the microphone on your control panel settings.

Click on the search bar and look for Control Panel. Once it shows up in search results, click on it.
Click on the view by option at the top right corner, and a drop-down menu will appear. Select “Small Icons” here.
Click on the Recording tab in the new menu that shows up. Here, make sure that the Logitech G Pro X Mic is enabled. If it is enabled, you will see a tiny green tick at the bottom of the microphone.
If it is not enabled, right-click on and choose “Enable.”
Click on Ok and then click on Apply.
Now check the G Hub application. It should show the Logitech G Pro X headset as connected.
Uninstall third-party audio tools:
Many of us use third-party equaliser audio tools on our computers to enhance the audio experience. By default, we get different audio settings and profiles when installing audio drivers. But some users like to tweak their audio experience, and in search of that, they use specific third-party audio tools as per their needs. These third-party audio tools could be the cause behind your problem, though.
The Logitech G Pro X headsets might not be compatible with the third-party audio tool you are using on your computer. The only solution you have here is to uninstall that third-party audio tool from your computer entirely.
Try the next solution if uninstalling the third-party audio tool did not solve your problem.
Reinstall G Hub:
Logitech’s G Hub application is also at fault on some occasions. If you have that app on your computer, you need to try reinstalling it.
- Click on the search bar and look for Control Panel. Once it shows up in search results, click on it.
- Click on the view by option at the top right corner, and a drop-down menu will appear. Select “Small Icons” here.
- Now click on Programs and features. This will display all the installed applications on your computer.
- Click on Logitech G Hub and then click Uninstall.
- Now, restart your computer.
- To download the latest version again, navigate to Logitech G Hub’s download page, and click on Download for Windows.
- Once the download is complete, open up the file and install the program on your computer.
- Restart your computer and disconnect the headset.
- After the restart, open up G Hub again and connect the headset to your computer. It should show up on the screen as connected.
