How to fix HyperX Cloud 2 Not Detected or Recognized?

The solutions mentioned here are essential, but it has worked wonders for many HyperX Cloud 2 troubled users. So try one solution after the other until you find the one that works for you.

Try using a different USB port:

For connecting the headset to the PC, we have USB port connectivity. If you are trying to use only one particular USB for your headset, you should consider changing the USB port on your device. You will have multiple USB ports for connectivity, and you need to try and use all of them and check whether one does the trick for you. Do not stick to one particular USB port.

If trying out the other USB ports does not solve your detection problem with the HyperX Cloud 2, move on to the next solution.

Update the audio drivers:

If the audio drivers on your PC are not up to date, it will have issues detecting any audio device. So you need to update the audio drivers on your PC. You can do that manually, automatically or by using a third-party application.

To perform the update automatically,

  • press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Enter “devmgmt.msc” in the dialog box and click the Ok button.
  • The Device Manager window will open up. Double click on Audio input and output; here, you will see the entire list of Audio devices connected system. Find the one causing you trouble, right-click on it, and select update driver.
  • Then follow the on-screen instruction to automatically search for the latest drivers using access to the internet.
  • Once it finds an update, it will automatically install the latest Bluetooth drivers on your computer.

To update the audio drivers manually, go to your system manufacturer’s website and look for your system model’s audio drivers. Download and install them directly onto your device and restart the system.

You can also perform the update using a third-party program that scans your entire computer for outdated drivers. If it finds that the audio drivers are obsolete, it will automatically get you the latest audio drivers on your computer. These utility programs charge a bit for their service, but it is worth it since you never need to worry about outdated drivers on your computer again.

If even does not help with the detection issue, try the next solution.

Use the sound troubleshooter:

Windows has a troubleshooter utility tool that can scan the computer for any known issues and try to fix them for the user. If the troubleshooter can’t fix the problem, it will at least display information to the user about what is wrong with the Windows system. So for the detection issue with the HyperX Cloud 2, you could use the audio troubleshooter.

  • Press Windows Key + I and then select Update & Security from the list of options.
  • Then click on the Troubleshooting tab in the left pane.
  • Click on Additional troubleshooters.
  • In the following menu, click on the “Sound” option. That will initiate the sound troubleshooter for you. Make sure to keep the headphones connected when you are doing this.
  • Let the troubleshooter run the scan and try the fixes for the problems that show up.

Update firmware:

If none of the solutions mentioned above worked for you, then the issue could be related to physical damage to the device. Ensure the cable is properly plugged in and the connection is not obstructed. You also must ensure that you use the proper extension cable (splitter) with separate headphones and microphone jacks with appropriate input and output ports on your computer.
