Sometimes adding the EAC service executable file to the antivirus whitelist can also fix multiple issues whatsoever.
- Go to Windows Settings > Click on Privacy & Security > Click on Windows Security.
- Click on Virus & threat protection > Click on Manage Ransomware Protection.
- Turn ON the Controlled Folder Access toggle (if prompted by UAC, click on Yes).
- Click on Allow an app through controlled folder access (If prompted by UAC, click on Yes).
- Next, click on Add an allowed app > Go to the installed EAC directory.
- You’ll need to select the EAC application > Click on Open to add it.
- Once done, make sure to reboot the PC to apply changes.
10. Change Steam Profile Name
If none of the methods worked for you then you can try changing the Steam profile name to a new one to check for the issue and whether it’s still bothering you or not. Some affected players have tried this specific method and found it useful enough. To do that:
- Open the Steam client > Head over to your Steam Username (profile) section at the top right side.
- You should locate the Change Profile Name… option and click on it.
