1. Use Another Internet Connection/Network
It can possible that the current internet connection/network is getting blocked by your ISP to control web traffic or anything else. Therefore, it’s always a better idea to try a different network whether Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot.
- Close Google Chrome > Go to the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
- Click on the Processes tab > Search for Chrome tasks and click to select.
- Once selected, click on End Task to dismiss all the Chrome related background tasks one by one.
- Then restart your computer > Connect to a different internet and try running Funimation on Chrome.
2. Update Chrome Browser
- Launch the Google Chrome > Click on the Menu (three vertical dots icon) from the upper right side of the browser interface.

Now, click on Settings > Select About Chrome from the left pane.
The Chrome system will automatically check for available updates. If there is an update available, it will automatically download and install the update.
Once done, simply restart your Chrome browser and you’re good to go.
3. Disable Chrome Extensions
- Open Chrome browser > Click on the Menu (three vertical dots icon) from the upper right side of the browser interface.
- Now, hover over the More tools field to expand the drop-down list.
- Click on Extensions > Disable all the extensions one by one (Turn off toggle).
- Once done, exit the browser > Relaunch it and try again running the Funimation website to check for the issue.
4. Clear Cookies and Cache of Chrome
- Open Chrome browser > Click on the Menu (three vertical dots icon) from the upper right side of the browser interface.
- Now, hover over the More tools field to expand the drop-down list.
- Click on Clear browsing data.
- Next, under the Basic tab, select the Time range according to your preference.
- Then click on the checkbox of Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files to select them.
- Finally, click on Clear data.
- Once done, restart your Chrome browser and visit the Funimation website, sign in to your account, and try streaming Anime content.

5. Update Windows OS Build
Click on Start > Settings > Update & Security.
If the available update isn’t showing automatically, click on Check for updates.
If there is any latest Windows update available, make sure to Download and Install it.
Once downloaded, the system will ask you to reboot your device to apply the changes.
6. Create a new Chrome Profile
- Open the Chrome browser > Click on the User Profile icon from the upper right corner of the screen.
- Click on the + Add option.
- Input your details to create the Profile. (Input Name, Choose Avatar, and click on Create a desktop shortcut for this user checkbox)
- Once done, click on Add > Exit Chrome > Double-click on the Profile desktop shortcut to open up a new browser tab and then check whether Funimation is working fine or not.
7. Disable Hardware Acceleration on Chrome
- Open Chrome browser > Click on the Action Menu button (three vertical dots icon) from the upper right side of the screen.
- Click on Settings > Advanced > Click on System from the left pane.
- Turn off the Use hardware acceleration when available toggle.
- Relaunch the browser and check for the issue.
8. Update Adobe Flash Player for Chrome
- Launch the Chrome browser > Copy chrome://components/ and paste it into the address bar > Hit Enter to open the Components page.
- Now, scroll down and check for the Adobe Flash Player option.
- Click on Check for update > Refresh the page once and restart Chrome.
9. Update Widevine Content Decryption Module
- Launch the Chrome browser > Copy chrome://components/ and paste it into the address bar > Hit Enter to open the Components page.
- Now, scroll down and check for the Widevine Content Decryption Module option.
- Click on Check for update > Refresh the page once and restart Chrome.

10. Reinstall Google Chrome
- Click on Start > Type Control Panel and select it from the search result.
