1. Downgrade Graphics Driver

Rolling back or downgrading the graphics driver version on your Windows 10 system is easy enough. Meanwhile, if you’re encountering any kind of graphics-related issues like glitches or black screen or crashes, etc then this trick may come in handy in most cases. Sometimes it can possible that the latest graphics driver version has several bugs or stability issues. So, it’s always better to go back to the stable version until the GPU manufacturer releases a new patch update. To do this:

  • Right-click on the Start Menu to open up the Quick Access Menu.
  • Click on Device Manager from the list.
  • Now, double-click on the Display adapters category to expand the list.
  • Then right-click on the dedicated Nvidia RTX graphics card name.
  • Choose Properties > Go to the Driver tab.
  • You’ll see the Device Properties dialog box > Select RollBack driver (if available).
  • It’ll automatically downgrade your installed graphics card driver.
  • Finally, restart your computer to change the effects.

2. Change Registry Values

Note: If you’re not sure what you’re doing then you shouldn’t follow this method.   • Press Windows + R keys to open up the Run dialog box.
  • Type regedit and hit Enter to open up the Registry Editor.
  • Navigate to the following location from the left pane: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
  • From the GraphicsDrivers key, check for the TdrDelay value from the right pane.
  • If not found, right-click on the right pane (blank area) > choose New > DWORD (32bit) Value.
  • Create the TdrDelay value > Once done, double-click on it.
  • Change the Base option to Decimal.
  • Next, set the Value Data to 60.
  • Click on OK to save changes.
  • Do the same thing for the TdrDdiDelay value.
  • Once all done, close the registry editor window and restart your computer.

This method should fix the Apex Legends crashing issue on RTX graphics card running computers. However, if this doesn’t fix the issue, just revert the TDR to its default values by changing them to their previous state. Otherwise, you can simply delete both the TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay keys from the registry editor.

3. Uninstall Nvidia Broadcast App

Well, some of the affected Apex Legends players have also mentioned that somehow the Nvidia Broadcast app seems broken that may cause several issues with the gameplay or game launching. So, it’ll a better idea to temporarily uninstall the Nvidia Broadcast App on your Windows to check if that helps you to avoid the game crashes or not.
