The first images have been released for the upcoming Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths event on the CW. Soon, shows like Arrow, The Flash, and Batwoman will be combining for the much-anticipated crossover, which we’ve already learned will contain the tragic death of a Batman ally as well as all three versions of Superman meeting each other at one point in the event’s narrative. Just how much the shows will remain true to the comic version of Crisis on Infinite Earths remains to be seen.
With an aftershow hosted by Kevin Smith and five different television shows participating, the Crisis on Infinite Earths Arrowverse crossover is one of the most intricate and long-hinted events in the CW’s history. Although the show’s crew has been trying to keep as much of the upcoming secrets and reveals as quiet as possible, some cast members haven’t been able to help themselves, with Arrow star Stephen Amell leaking the first few seconds of the event earlier this month.
Now, thanks to GreenArrowTV, fans can look over nineteen different photos from Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One, which are almost entirely all photographs of the various superheros staring really hard at something off camera. There are a few photographs which show two heroes talking, such as Superman and the Green Arrow, but for the most part the main cast is pictured either staring daggers off screen or walking towards the camera in a very determined fashion. However, one photo shows something different.
Pictured above, this photo shows everyone (especially Superman) smiling and appearing to have a good time. Contrast these faces with the many others featured and one can only surmise nothing good is happening to these heroes during the events of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Another notable picture which could perhaps contain plot points is of Superman, dressed here as Clark Kent, and Lois Lane, both of them holding and staring lovingly at a baby.
Fans will not have to wait very long at all to find out, as the Crisis on Infinite Earths event begins next month on December 8th on the CW, starting with Supergirl (followed by Kevin Smith’s recap show) and then continuing throughout the month with episodes of Batwoman and The Flash. In January 2020 the massive crossover will end with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, most likely leaving things much differently for all five shows in the Arrowverse than they are in their current state.
