Final Fantasy 15’s Episode Ignis introduces new trophies and achievements to collect. Here’s a guide on how to unlock the Master of The Elements Trophy. Final Fantasy 15 tells the story of four heroes (Noctis, Prompto, Gladio, and Ignis) on a bachelor’s road trip before Noctis’s big wedding day begins. During his road trip, Noctis is notified that his father has been murdered and his kingdom taken. It is now up to our heroes to return back to Noctis’s home of Insomnia so he can reclaim his throne. After the success of the base Final Fantasy 15, Square Enix decided to release individual DLC stories with their own achievements and trophies to unlock for each of Noctis’s friends. That leads to Episode Ignis and unlocking the Master of The Elements Trophy.
Episode Ignis is a downloadable episode where players take control of Ignis during Chapter 9 of the base game. While Altissia is being attacked, the gang is split up. During the base game in Chapter 9, Noctis during this chapter is attempting to assist Lunafreya, his soon-to-be wife right before Ardyn, the primary antagonist of Final Fantasy 15, stabs her. Noctis then unlocks the power of the past kings with the last bit of strength given to him by Lunafreya. Noctis uses this power to attack Leviathan, which is destroying the city. Meanwhile, Ignis is assisting people to escape the city, and this is where Episode Ignis takes place.
How To Unlock the Master of The Elements Trophy
During the evacuation, Ignis takes it upon himself to separate from the rest of the group to find and protect Noctis. Ignis has an ability called Total Clarity, which is a special move he uses when his meter is full to attack. The trophy requires that players take down 100 enemies using Total Clarity. The best place to do this would be during Chapter 3, Verse 2. Players can return here after beating the DLC and “Fight Back”.
For this, ignore battling Ardyn and wait for more enemies to spawn. Once several enemies have collected around Ignis, use Total Clarity to defeat them. The best method is using Total Clarity with thee Ice Daggers weapon. Avoid being damaged by enemies until more of them begin to spawn. Repeat this process until 100 enemies have been defeated using Total Clarity. Moving under the arch is the best way to get enemies to spawn.
Episode Ignis provided a new layer of story that was previously missing from Final Fantasy 15. Players even learn how Ignis loses his vision in the base game by putting on the Ring of the Lucil. Even with its massively, expansive world and several collectibles to find and enemies to defeat, the part of Final Fantasy 15 that shines the most comes in the form of its four main protagonists. Considering each of these characters got their own DLC chapters shows Square Enix agrees with this as well. Final Fantasy 15 does the best job in creating real-feeling characters that interact with each other as real friends do. This is how to unlock the Master of Elements Trophy of Episode Ignis.
