Instead, the movie has been picked up by Netflix in the US and some foreign territories, following its positive reception at Sundance. A limited theatrical release is also planned for the US in order that the movie can qualify for awards season.

In the UK, however, Extremely Wicked was bought by Sky Cinema, meaning Netflix won’t be showing it.
